Here are some great tips for you to keep your grill clean during this season:

A quick start to the next grilling session only requires a short routine after the last. After each time you use the grill, turn the heat to maximum so that all the grease and drippings burn off. No one wants bits and pieces of food stuck on the grates and left outside! You can brush off any remaining gunk with a wooden grill scraper (which is much more gentle on the metal than the wire ones), and close the cover once the grill is cooled to protect it from the elements.

After 10 Grilling Sessions

There will always be some residue left within the grill so it is always a good idea to do some gas grill deep cleaning after using it around 10 times, to prevent major buildup. There are three main parts you should pay special attention to:

  • Grates: take the grates out to give them a good scrub on both sides to remove all the grease and food chunks that was built up, especially on the bottom.
  • Burner Protectors: use a bucket of soapy water to clean up the protectors, and any grease should come off relatively easily. Make sure to thoroughly dry them off afterwards.
  • Burners: it’s important to keep the burners clean to prevent them from clogging. Some burners can be removed, but if you’re not confident, you can use a damp sponge to wipe them down. You’ll be amazed at how much grime comes off after a few wipes!

Finally, take out the tray underneath the burner to empty out any gunk. You might need to give it a bit of a scrub, but it doesn’t need to be spotless.

These tips will be of use to you so that you can enjoy your grill for many years to come!
