Most Common Problems Associated With a Loud Washer

Washers have come a long way in the past hundred years. You might remember your grandmother’s old washboard she used to do the laundry. Lucky for you, your home is equipped with an easy to use machine that does all the work for you. When that machine breaks though, it may not seem so simple. Washers are expensive to repair due to the many parts that keep them running. A loud noise coming from a machine is an obvious indication of an issue.

Pump

The pump is used to suck the water out of the machine. This occurs during the rinse cycle and after. If this is when your washer is making the sound, the pump may be the issue. Depending on the model you have, this part could run with a motor or belt. If the pump is blocked, you can likely fix the problem yourself with a little elbow grease and knowledge. If it needs to be replaced, you should call an expert to get the correct part.

Belt

If you have a belt out of place, you can probably move it back into place yourself. Look in your owners manual for clarity in how the belts should be. If the belt is loose or broken, you’ll need a replacement. Depending on the model, this residential laundry service may be easy enough to do yourself. Other models will not be so easy to get to, requiring you to call an expert.

It’s Time for an Upgrade

Older machines are much louder and less efficient than newer models. If your machine is noisy because of age, it is likely time to look into residential laundry sales. More modern devices have the technology to match today’s world and the reliability to meet your needs.
